🛰️ In anticipation of Cosmonautics Day, MarSU is implementing a strategic project to create compact radars for small spacecraft.
The university collaborates with leading enterprises in the rocket and space industry, including the State Corporation Roscosmos, JSC TsNIIMash, JSC GosNIIP, and the Almaz‑Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation. To date, a number of development and research works have been successfully carried out within the framework of the Federal Space Programme.
🌍 The key goal of this large‑scale effort is to launch a constellation of university spacecraft, scheduled for the period from 2031 to 2036. The radar systems being developed at MarSU are on par with the best foreign analogues in terms of their specifications.
An important component of the project is the development of the GeoSar MarSU geoportal services, which will be used to address challenges in forestry, agriculture, environmental monitoring, as well as in the interests of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
👨🚀 MarSU’s contribution to the development of space instrumentation is a vivid example of the integration of education, fundamental science, and high‑tech production. The ongoing project not only strengthens the country’s technological sovereignty in the field of Earth remote sensing, but also serves as a solid foundation for training engineers.
